BCN: from Norton Canes (NC), WS3 5AP to Anglesey Basin (AB), WS8 7NL

This is the route that I took on Friday April 19th 2019 when walking the BCN from Norton Canes (NC), WS3 5AP to Anglesey Basin (AB), WS8 7NL. It is 16.6K long.

KML for the above route as a line
KML for the above route as a series of points

Here are some photos I took. If you want to see a photo in hi-res, click on it.

Yesterday, I finished at Pelsall Junction. This is where a cul-de-sac canal, the Cannock Extension branches off the W&E Canal. The plan for today is to start at Norton Canes which is at the other end of the Cannock Extension, then walk 1.5M South down the Cannock Extension to Pelsall Junction, then walk 2.5M East along the W&E to Catshill Junction, then walk 2.5M North from that junction to the end of the Anglesey Branch which is another cul-de-sac canal.
Google Maps says that to get to Norton Canes I have to get off the bus at the "Rising Sun" but the announcement on the bus doesn't mention the "Rising Sun" but after talking to the bus driver he confirms that I'm at the right stop but doesn't tell me what state it's in!
If you look at the map above then, you'll see that this is about 250 metres W of where I stop walking at the end of the day!!!

The map above shows it's about 1.5K from the "Rising Sun" to the start of the Cannock Extension in Norton Canes. Unfortunately, it takes me along the noisy A5, Watling Street. When I get to the point on the A5 where the canal starts I fail to find the path to the canal and so I finish up in ...
