from Shepley to Farnley Tyas

This is the route that I took on Wednesday October 2nd 2019 when walking from Shepley to Farnley Tyas. It is 8K long.

Here are some photos I took. If you want to see a photo in hi-res, click on it.

Today, as this photo suggests, there wasn't a cloud in the sky - the Huddersfield area basked in glorious sunshine all day long. What an amazing difference from the previous three days.
I celebrated with a walk from Shepley to Farnley Tyas. I made up the route myself. As the above map shows, it was essentially go SouthWest along the Kirklees Way as far as Fulstone and then go NorthWest and North along the Holme Valley Circular Walk to Farnley Tyas.
So I got up off the bus at Yew Tree Road in Shepley (shown in this photo) which was one of the roads I used yesterday to get to the railway station.
