Calderdale Way: from Wadsworth to Illingworth

This is the route that I took on Saturday September 25th 2021 when walking the Calderdale Way from Wadsworth to Illingworth. It is 10K long.

This is the view looking down into the valley below from the start of Day 6 of walking the Calderdale Way. It's taken from near the Hare and Houndspub in Wadsworth. This point is at 292m. It's dry here but no doubt it'll get more misty as I get higher.

The CDW runs alongside a golf course. It's the Hebden Bridge (Mount Skip) Golf Club. You can see the red flag for the hole on the left-hand side of the photo.

Looking North in the direction of Churn Milk Joan and Cranley's Seat. Here the CDW is at 367m but is slowly going to descend. It stops going East and now goes South.

Meanwhile this is the view ahead. Now at 210m. That's a climb of 40m since crossing Luddenden Brook which was 0.4K back. so that's 1 in 10. And a look at an online OS map shows today's walk gets up to about 380m. So there's a long way up to go!
