Kirklees Way: from Skelmanthorpe to Jackson Bridge (via Lower Cumberworth and Shepley)

This is the route that I took on Sunday December 29th 2019 when walking the Kirklees Way from Skelmanthorpe to Jackson Bridge (via Lower Cumberworth and Shepley). It is 12.2K long.

	Day 7 starts in Skelmanthorpe. I get off the bus outside the Grove Inn. Yesterday at this pub I had a wonderful half of Butcombe Bitter. 	There's no getting away from the transmitter at Emley Moor. 	It's straight ahead across this field. I'm standing on top of the tunnel of the railway line between Huddersfield and Sheffield. However, a big snag is that I've been following the route given by the data I got from the LDWA - it goes three sides round a field whereas the OS map has it going the other side which ... 	A large amount of the KW here is along the line of the railway line that is in a tunnel underneath. 	At this point, a stream goes under the KW - there's an entrance to the culvert that it uses at the bottom of the photo - the photo I took at this point last time has the stream crossing the KW at the level of the path. 	It's a bit easier to get through and there's no water compared to the last time I was here. 	For some reason there's no public right of way beyond this electricity pole to the field boundary that is beyond - you have to go the three sides of a field. 	For the next 0.5K approx., the KW follows a contour almost at the top of a bank - often there's a steep drop down on the right hand side of the path.
