Leeds and Liverpool: from Mill Hill to Rishton

This is the route that I took on Friday August 9th 2019 when walking the Leeds and Liverpool from Mill Hill to Rishton. It is 11K long.

	Lock 56 has a handle that you turn to open the bottom gate. 	A view of Blackburn from the Canal. To the left is the Premier Inn, the hotel at which I'm staying. To the right of that is a tall office block. Crucially it is blocking the view of Blackburn Cathedral - you can see a bit of a tower of the Cathedral and there's a bit of the Cathedral to the right of the office block. What a magnificent view of the Cathedral it would have been without the office block. In the foreground there's Blackburn Railway Station. 	Bridge 108A in Rishton is the end of today's walk. After looking at one pub in Rishton, I decide to catch the bus (back to Blackburn) as it's due and it'll drop me almost outside the Drummers Arms in Blackburn - it's an excellent pub.
