This is the route that I took on Monday July 15th 2019 when walking the Trent&Mersey from Brereton to Haywood Junction. It is 11.9K long.

	The Triumphal Arch at Shugborough Hall. "It was constructed in 1765 and is a copy of Hadrian's Arch in Athens. It commemorates Admiral Anson. He is noted for his circumnavigation of the globe and his role in overseeing the Royal Navy during the Seven Years' War. Shugborough Hall is the home of the Anson family, Earls of Lichfield." 	Shugborough Hall. "The estate was owned by the Bishops of Lichfield until the Dissolution of the Monasteries, upon which it passed through several hands before being purchased in 1624 by William Anson, a local lawyer and ancestor of the Earls of Lichfield.
