In July 2016, I had a holiday in Switzerland looking at some of their mountain railways.

July 23rd	Montreux Glion Rochers-de-Naye railway	my photos	more info	I took photos at Montreux station and then from the 1017 departure from Montreux to Rochers-de-Naye. At Caux, I temporarily got off as this is a passing point and I took photos of "my" train and the train that was descending - this was the 1016 from Rochers-de-Naye to Montreux. At the top I took photos of the 1116 departure back to Montreux. I then took photos of flowers in Rochers-de-Naye's alpine garden. I then took photos of the 1211 arrival which formed the 1216 departure from Rochers-de-Naye. I got on this train and once again temporarily got off at Caux to take photos of both "my" train and the 1217 departure from Montreux to Rochers-de-Naye.
July 25th	Brienz Rothorn railway	my photos	more info	I first took photos at Brienz station. I then walked about 1K from the station and saw the 1038 arrival at Brienz followed by the 1045 departure. I then took some more photos at Brienz station.
July 25th	Schynige Platte railway	my photos	more info	I first took photos at Wilderswil station. I then walked about 1K from the station and saw the 1153 arrival at Wilderswil followed by the 1205 departure.
July 29th	Rigi railways	my photos	more info	I took photos from the 1110 departure from Arth Goldau. The 1110 departure actually consisted of three trains running immediately after each other. I was in the middle train. I got off the train at Rigi Staffel which is one stop before the top which is at Rigi Kulm. Rigi Staffel is where the railway from Arth Goldau runs parallel to the railway from Vitznau for about 2K to Rigi Kulm. Like the service from Arth Goldau, the service from Vitznau was also running three trains at a time. And there was a steam train parked at Rigi Staffel in a bay. I took lots of photos at Rigi Staffel including the three trains forming the 1205 departure to Vitznau closely followed by the three trains forming the 1209 departure to Arth Goldau. I then took some photos of marmots! At about 1245 I walked to Rigi Kulm where I took photos at the station. I then got on board the 1300 departure from Rigi Kulm to Vitznau and took photos from that train. Again I was in the middle train of three. At Vitznau I caught the 1349 boat back to Luzern.
July 30th	Voralpen Express	my photos	more info	I caught the 1140 VAE from Luzern which arrives in St Gallen at 1355. This service crosses the paths of four VAEs that run in the opposite direction at about 1200, 1228, 1259 and 1333. I got photos of some of these.
July 31st	St. Gallen Trogen railway	my photos	more info	I took photos of the 1020 arrival at St Gallen and took photos from the 1025 departure. I got off the train at Notkersegg and took photos of it departing, the 1040 arrival from Trogen and the 1104 arrival from St Gallen. I then got on that train and took photos from it. After it had arrived in Trogen, I caught the 1128 postbus to Heiden.
July 31st	Heiden Rorschach railway	my photos	more info	The postbus from Trogen arrived at Heiden at 1151. I took photos at the station and then from the 1204 departure from Heiden to Rorschach.
