Are entries on the day (EODs) allowed?
If entries are allowed on the day, entries will still be refused if the race limit is reached, or you don't turn up early enough. Sometimes the entry form gives the latest time for EODs.
If you are travelling a long distance to a race, you may want to check whether the entry form gives a web page you can check or a phone number you can ring to find out whether the race is full.
There is usually an extra charge for EODs. And, sometimes, only cash is accepted for entries on the day.
In an advert for a race, the following are used for the value of onDay:
yes | when I last looked at the race information, it indicated that EODs are possible; |
?yes | although I've not seen any information, I'm guessing that EODs are possible; |
no | when I last looked at the race information, it indicated that EODs are not allowed; |
?no | although I've not seen any information, I'm guessing that EODs are not allowed; |
limited | when I last looked at the race information, it indicated that the number of EODs will be limited; |
only | the race information indicates that entries will only be on the day; |
? | either the race information does not indicate whether EODs are permitted or the race information is not yet available. |
Even if an advert indicates that EODs are possible, this may not be the case if the organisers have changed their mind after I added the advert to the web site. Please check the organiser's web page to see whether EODs are possible.
