The course is creative with some interesting sweeping lines, and areas that loop back creating a fantastic social element. Thanks to the rangers all the paths are also well maintained so although it is a trail race the 'off road' sections of path are hard packed and easy to run on. Essentially its a great introduction to the world of trail running, away from the busy roads and amongst great scenery. And still fast enough to bag a PB." |

"The start is on Wood Lane. There is a short (about 400m) road run followed by a 100m lane at the back of Wickersley School. A sharp turn right takes a path iinto and through Wickersley Wood emerging on to a dirt path which reaches First Lane. A dirt field path then descends due south to Second Lane. The course turns left (eastwards) on road, becomes a rough track after 200m past Winthrop Gardens (open on the day) and after 100m becomes a field-side path on rough grass. The path becomes easier as it reaches King's Pond Plantation which it passes before turning left. A kissing gate gives access to a short lane at the pond, then a long uphill road to Bramley Cemetery. At the cemetery (top of the hill), course turns left on to Wood Lane (road, used by estate vehicles). At the limit of the housing, an exit to Wood Lane track takes you back to the Wood. If this is the first lap turn left into the Wood. On the second lap continue straight ahead to finish (400m) on Wood Lane." |

Starting on the main road outside the community centre, runners make the dash towards Hound Hill, descending Hound Hill and then sticking to the flat on Haverlands Lane, before making the gruelling climb up Vernon Road only to turn left at the crossroads making their way back to the community centre. Then you have to do it all again!" |

"Race HQ is at the Horsfall Community Stadium, Cemetery Road (off Halifax Road)." "The start/finish is around half a mile from the HQ. The race itself takes place in/around Judy Woods, with the start being to the side of Royds Hall Dam/Park Dam, Low Moor, Bradford, which is off Lingdale Road, Low Moor, Bradford, BD6 2NT. The dam is accessed via a short path opposite 66-72 Lingdale Road." "It takes place on country tracks, footpaths and some streets, through ancient woodlands and farmland, offering spectacular long-distance Pennine views (weather permitting, of course, though it never normally rains in Bradford).
